He is working at the Computational Biology Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA, as Manager of the Pathway Information Resource.<\/p>\n<p><b>Building Cell Maps<\/b>, Wednesday October 14, 2015, at 12:30<br \/>\nPathway Commons project aims to create a common language and platform for building cell maps \u2013 system level, integrated models of cellular processes. In this talk, four applications of cell maps will first be presented. From 2004 to 2010, he was member of the European EGEE Grid infrastructure, chairing the Bioinformatics Applications Activity (NA4-Bioinformatics). From 2005 to 2010, he took an active role in the Bioinformatics Network of Excellence EMBRACE (European Model for Bioinformatics Research and Community Education, EU-FP6). In the StratusLab project he defined requirements and evaluated developments of bioinformatics use cases in the cloud.<br \/>\nChristophe Blanchet is now leading the e-infrastructure team of the IFB.<\/p>\n<p><b>Bioinformatics Cloud Services for Life Sciences<\/b>, Thursday October 15, 2015, at 9:15<br \/>\nMany research infrastructures, producing huge quantities of data to be analyzed, are now available. These data require large-size public reference databases and many software tools for their analysis. In the same way, the interfaces to be built cover the whole spectrum from the command line to the web portal. The French Institute of Bioinformatics (IFB) aims to provide scientists with bioinformatics services relying on the required computing and storage capacities, while providing a user-friendly solution. In the same year, she joined the University of Pennsylvania as assistant professor of bioinformatics. In 2007, she joined as Principal Investigator the Institute of Molecular Oncology at the B.S.R.C. \u201cAlexander Fleming\u201d. In 2003, she received the &#8220;Early Carrier Award&#8221; from NSF.<br \/>\nIn 2003, she developed DIANA-microT, one of the first published microRNA target prediction programs. She has published in top tier journals and has served as a panelist for NSF and NIH.
